Roulette table odds

Roulette is one of the most popular table games played in casinos today. It has a mechanical wheel with pockets numbered from 0 to 36 (American Roulette has another extra pocket marked 00). The Roulette bets are placed on the numbers on the wheel. There is an area on the table marked with individual numbers on separate boxes. One can place bets on any number. There are a number of bets available. The roulette wheel acts as a decisive factor to determine the end result of a Roulette game.

Single zero roulette wheels are usually found outside US and online. Single zero roulette is also known as European roulette. The odds on single zero tables for a single number change from 1/38 to 1/37. Standard US brick casinos usually have these tables in the high roller rooms.

Steps of Playing the Game

Roulette can be played using two basic steps:-

1. Decide the numbers or groups of numbers you wish to bet on and select a table. One can place chips on one or more numbers. While playing online, you can remove or decrease a bet by right clicking on the chip pile.

2. After placing the bet, spin the wheel to start the game. Once the wheel rotates, the ball starts spinning in the opposite direction. Eventually, the ball slows down and stops in any one of the numbered pockets on the wheel. You are a winner if the ball lands on the number you have placed a bet on.
